Venue: Catholic Archdiocesan YouthCentre(For those who know, it's last year location)(former Nativity Church Centre at 2, Lorong Low Koon)
Fees: S$28 (to be collected during the camp itself) Please remember to bring (amongst other regular camp stuff)
Camp fees: ($28), gift for secret buddy, sleeping bag, torchlight, dark-colored clothes, writing materials, track shoes, plastic bags,jacket, bible, water bottle etc.

Christmas Carolling 2006
Date: Saturday 16 Dec
Time: 1pm- 11.30pm
Venue: YCS HQ (at #03-03 Catholic Archdiocesan Education Centre)
Note to participant: Please wear the latest YCS T-shirt if you own one

Edit: There has been a change of date in Games Day (it has already been changed in the post) and has been changed to 22th November, on a Wednesday.

We may also be having a fundraising for the needy in Tanjong Balai on the 25th of November.
The fundraising at Novena on the 25th of Nov is cancelled due to some schedule error.

Hello all! Hope you had a good time during the september holidays. For those who are going through your examinations/mock exams, good luck and God bless!

Today we will talk about the recent suicidal cases that have been occuring within the youth.That's right, it's among us. More teens have been using suicide as a way out. Now as catholics/christians or ANYONE, we all know that suicide is NEVER the way out.
So let us voice out our opinions to this issue, and speak freely! All comments and opinions will be accepted (:. Just email them to fathermatt@christiangirl.com .

I really hope everyone can come even though it is nearing the exams, do your best to take some time to spend with God and draw strength from him to help you in your exams. Bring your friends along as non-members of YCS, including non-Christians are all welcome to join! Moreover, the object of this activity is to prepare participants for thier exams and provide everyone with opportunity for praise and worship, prayer and reflection.

If you do not know how to get to Montfort Secondary, just meet up with the Montfort guys at Hougang MRT at 12.45pm.

If you've got anything to ask, don't hesitate to call Daphne (Our Full Timer) at 9385-9340.

50th Anniversary

The YCS Anniversary is coming up! Here are the details:

Date: 12th August
Time: 2pm to 5.30pm
Venue: IHM
Price: $5 per ticket
Dresscode: Formal (no flip-flops, berms, shorts) You'll be attending mass, so please dress appropriately.

Attention to the people helping out:

Car wardens, altar servers- please be there by 1pm

People helping hang the banners- please be there by 11am

David Weekend

David Weekend

David Weekend organised by the Youth Ministry Office, is a time for Catholic youths from across the Archdiocese to come together for an experience in prayer and discipleship.

-Do you desire an "experiential" faith - that you can say for sure why you do what you do?
-Do you desire to "walk the talk"?
-Do you long to "connect"?
-Do you want to "live in hope"?

If you do, then come and begin this experience with us. David of the Old Testament is an example for us. Do you want to know his key? It was his relationship with God. A relationship that gave him so much conviction that when he, as a young boy, confronted Goliath the Philistine, he said "I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts." (1 Samuel 17:45)

The weekend will be a time when you will be equipped with basic tools for this walk in faith - prayer, word & journaling. Tools that may look like the 5 little stones in David's hands. But don't underestimate them.

It doesn't also just stop there. We want to invite you to be in small groups that will be facilitated by the staff at the Youth Centre. That is the time that discipleship begins. More "stones"! Learning to use the "sling"! We will tell you more. But in the mean time, come for this weekend!

We are planning to run identical weekends monthly from now till Oct. The dates are as follows:
14-16 July, 25-27 August, 22-24 September, 27-29 October

The venue will be at the Youth Centre. Time from Friday 5.30pm (dinner included) to Sunday 1pm (after lunch & Mass). The cost? $25 per person per weekend.


Call us to register or approach your parish youth priest / youth coordinator. For the first weekend in July, the closing date is 12 July.

Hey guys. In case you all didn't know, there will be rehearsals for the upcoming 12th august Ycs Anniversary this saturday, that's 5/8/2006, 11 am.

The Venue would be at Huisuo, YCS HQ (at 2 Highland Rd). But the rehearsals would probably commence at IHM, Imaculate Heart Of Mary Church. It's just next to Huisuo.

Please do get all your skits/performances ready by this Saturday and good luck people, pray that you all will have a great time and fun this saturday! (:
